Mayor opens new cash and carry at Delamore

This week saw the official opening of the new Delamore Cash and Carry outlet. Delamore were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Wisbech, Vivien MacRae who cut the ribbon and declared the new store open.

Delamore were also delighted to welcome students from Wisbech St Mary Church of England Primary School to the grand opening to acknowledge their hard work throughout the past 12 months, whom competed in the Delamore Young Growers network, which was run in several local primary schools within the area.

The new site based in Wisbech St Mary, which caters for customers up and down the country, covers over 2000 square metres of glass and is 50% larger than before. The new Cash & Carry includes a larger area for hardy nursery stock ranges, more finished lines, higher stock levels and an extensive range of sundries and bulbs. Georgie Brooks, the Cash and Carry Manager said, “Our stock levels are much higher and we’re able to keep stock of many more niche varieties due to the larger floor space.

“We now also have horticultural sundries which include fertilizer, canes and crop covers which we couldn’t offer before due to space constraints”. We look forward to welcoming customers, both old and new throughout the course of the year.”
