Plans have been submitted to build 18 homes on part of a March warehouse site.
Davern Workwear wants to put up a total of 32 homes on a section of its site in Elliott Road.
The firm already has permission to put up 14 homes on the site and has now submitted a fresh application for the second phase.
The company wants to build three, four and five bedroom detached and semi-detached properties under this latest phase.
The application’s design and access statement says: “Davern Workwear Ltd has been operating from Elliott Road for some 45 years or so.
“Over the latter part of this period the company has experienced a down-turn in turnover which has, in turn, resulted in them relinquishing some of the land and one building to the west of the site for residential development.
“The majority of the commercial buildings have been on site for many years, but a recent additional office building on the factory site has potential for redevelopment into, say, a doctor’s surgery.”
The latest Davern Workwear application proposes four three bedroom homes, seven four bedroom properties and seven five bedroom units.
Some of the buildings will have three storeys and separate gardens.
The site will be accessed from a cul de sac road.
The firm has also submitted another planning application to demolish a building on the site.
