Rain stopped just in the nick of time for the 2014 Rose Fair parade to bring a feast of colour and music to Wisbech.
Some of the greatest television moments, featuring oompah loompas and daleks, were brought to life in Saturday’s parade, which was organised by Wisbech Round Table.
Rose Queen, April Rose Bryant-Jenns, led the 16 floats around the town during two parades at 11am and 2pm.
Music was provided by the King’s Lynn Community Samba Band and the Coventry Scout Band.
Parade organiser Sam Smith said: “Everything went to plan and it was quite a success.
“The weather was favourable to us considering the forecast and many people still came out to enjoy the parade.
“A big thank you goes out to KGB, Barwells, Bretts, John Thomas, H.E.Payne, Herbet Engineering, Ceva Logistics transport firms without which the parade would not happen.”
Crazy Days won the float competition with their colourful Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The highly-commended trophy went to Thomas Clarkson Academy with its Dr Who float.
Meadowgate School received the junior title for its railway themed float.
