Cromwell College, Chatteris dress rehearsal of annual Christmas performance by pupils.

Pupils at Chatteris Cromwell Community College had an opportunity to showcase their talents at a special evening recently.

Performances included the school choir and orchestra as well as individual students and groups.

Musical numbers included Chariots of Fire, Once in Royal David City by the school orchestra, whilst the choir sang a range of numbers including: ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘Promise This’

Individual performances included Katherine Quinn with a monologue “Dr Who”.

Ella Tillbrook gave a clarinet solo, while Be O’Rourke played the Skyrim theme on the piano. Trumpet player Jame Hedley rounded the evening off with “We wish you a Merry Christmas”.

Other soloists were: Denis – piano solo – ‘All You Need is Love’, Jess Stanbridge – drama monologue - ‘You Wouldn’t Believe It!’, Jovan Sahota – rap solo – ‘Can’t Hold Us’ and Sophie Frear – ‘I Wish I was a Punk Rocker’.

Ensemble numbers included: Kyanne, Vicky & Natasha – dance choreography – ‘JT Mash up’, Rock band A – ‘We Found Love’, Year 10 GCSE music ensembles – ‘Talk You Down, I Won’t Give Up’, Emily Holmes and Adam Woolfall – ‘Love Me Tender’, ‘We Are the Champions’, Rock band B – ‘Valerie’.
