Understanding dementia day

A day of events to help people understand dementia is being held in Wisbech on Saturday.

The speaker at the Rosmini Centre will be Ben Bano M.Sc.(Oxon), CQSW, DMS, LTh, from Telos Training.

Ben has been a social worker for 38 years and was director of older people’s services in East Kent Mental Health Partnership Trust from 2002 to 2005. In 2007 he founded Telos Training.

Ben’s interests include social inclusion, the spiritual and holistic dimension to mental health and dementia care.

The day will begin at 11.30am and will run until 3.30pm.

No charge is being made for the day but the organisers would welcome donations for the speaker’s expenses and the not-for-profit community interest programme “Welcome as I am”.
