Crowds of people cheered on the parade during the annual Chatteris Midsummer Festival despite the rain.
Once again the three-day event proved to be a great success, with people of all ages turning out to take part
The festival was a joint effort between Chatteris Town Council’s clerk Joanna Melton and Isabel Edgingon, of Fenland District Council.
Schools, sports groups and a mother and toddler group along with the Sportsman walked from Church Lane, through the town to festival site at the Furrowfields.
Crowds stood along the streets of the town to cheer on the walkers, many of whom were dressed up for this year’s theme of armed forces.
