VIDEO: Gorefield pupils talk about their newspaper

Waiting for Video...

The Fishy News team at Gorefield Primary School have been hard at work on the second edition of their school newspaper and Citizen reporter Emma Mason went along to see how they’re getting on.

Their pagination has been doubled for the second edition so the team have bought in some junior reporters who are keen to make their mark.

They have also been interviewing lots of people and have a series of trips organised for half term week.

The pupils took the opportunity to interview Emma for the paper and asked her lots of questions, including what’s her favourite food (chocolate), does she have a pet (a black cat) and does she like spots or stripes (stripes).

Emma said: “They are an enthusiastic group of pupils who are improving all the time. A large number are due to leave the school in the summer and are very sad about leaving the paper behind.

“I was impressed with the second edition and thought it had a much cleaner feel to it. There is going to be lots to read!”

• In the video, you can watch Delia, Kate and Holly talk about the latest Fishy News edition.
