A Wisbech town centre road will be closed during August for owners of a dilapidated building to undertake repairs.
Constantine House has blighted the town centre for some time and notice has served on the owner to bring it back into use by September.
But motorists will be facing delays as Nene Quay will be closed between August 4 and 24 for repairs to the house along with National Grid to carry out work to the gas mains.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire County Council’s highways department said: “This has been agreed and the companies now need to make sure they have the works completed and road re-opened for after the August bank holiday and before the schools start back.”
The north bound carriageway will be closed with traffic diverted via Town Bridge, Old Market and North Street while south bound traffic will flow past the works.
