Chatteris man Leon Jones has put pen to paper to produce a book about his life as a soldier.

Leon (72), who is vice-chairman the town’s Royal British Legion, said the book is about his life from the age of 15 when he joined the Army as a boy soldier in 1956 to his retirement in 1987 when he moved to Chatteris and started his own business as a saddler.

The book called “The Life of a Soldier” is printed by Amazon and is available on Kindle and the web. It costs 77p to download.
