Uniform service students from the Isle Campus in Wisbech of the College of West Anglia held a fundraising treadmill run at Wisbech’s Hudson Leisure Centre on Monday.

They were raising money for Macmillian Cancer Support by taking it in turns to run a total of 101 miles - the equivalent from Wisbech to London.

As part of their course work, the students are expected to do something for the community and student James Elsey 16 from Wisbech had already instigated the fundraiser for Macmillan as the charity is close to his heart.

James, who has already raised £300, has an uncle with cancer who is being helped by the charity. His fellow students decided to show their support and get involved to help make the event a success.
