Man dies in fatal road crash in Murrow

A MAN died in a fatal road collision on Saturday night after his car collided with a tree just outside Murrow.

The man was discovered at 7am on Sunday morning by a passing member of the public, in his red Renault Laguna which had collided with a tree near the ‘Welcome to Murrow’ sign.

It is not known when the accident occurred and police are appealing for witnesses to determine what happened.

Road closures were in place on Sunday morning on the Guyhirn side of Murrow Primary School and the junction of Plash Drove. Heavy goods vehicles were diverted onto the A47. The roads were reopened by mid-afternoon.

The identity of the man has not yet been released by police.
