More than £1,500 was raised when a March church hosted its biggest and best family fun day yet.
Hundreds of people enjoyed the fifth annual event at St John’s Church on Bank Holiday Monday.
Money raised on the day will be split between the church’s new roof fund and the St John’s Tots youth group.
March Mayor Rob Skoulding opened the event in his last official duty as Mayor, and he and Fenland councillor Steve Tierney spent most of the day in the stocks getting soaked by the children.
Other attractions included bouncy castles, an Irish dance display, reptile handling with the South Lincolnshire Herpetology Society, a Pets Corner run by The Pet Shop in March, a craft fair, traditional games and stalls and a popular barbecue run by church members Mary and Stephen Driver.
