FOR the third year, the GER Club in March will be catapulted back to the 1940s with ‘March into the 40s’ on March 24.

Starting at 2pm, the fun will go on until midnight with lots to keep visitors entertained.

In the afternoon, there will by Lindy Hop dance lessons for beginners and intermediates by Paul and Fae from Rug-Cutters Lindy Hop. They will also give a dance demonstration.

Highlights in the evening include dancing to the music of the 40s with DJ Woody and a special guest appearance by the lovely Miss Lola Lamour singing your favourite wartime songs.

There will also be a raffle and free donuts. Keep an eye out for Dave the Spiv with lovely nylons and all those other goods that are hard to come by, plus military and civilian re-enactors and vehicles.

Authentic 40s catering, such as Spam sandwiches, corn beef hash, bread and butter pudding, will be available until 11pm and a bar.

All profits will be donated to Help for Heroes and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
