WISBECH Mayor Viv MacRae officially re-opened Boyall’s fish and chip shop on Thursday.

New owner at the Norfolk Street premises Tim Bethell, whose family have been running ‘chippys’ for 35 years, said it was an “exciting opportunity.”

The Bethells have run 12 chip shops in the north-west London area, and their Hemel Hempstead business recently won an area award when going up against 15 other competitors.

The family has now moved up to this area, and Mr Bethell added: “We’re looking forward to working in Wisbech and we like the area. We have found the people are very friendly. We have a limited menu at the moment but we will be expanding it in the New Year.”
