We are Wisbech is delighted by the response of local businesses and visitors to its first Halloween Moon Market held in the Market Place.
The event drew stallholders offering local produce including preserves and honey, children’s books and toys, and a variety of locally-produced craft goods, clothes, jewellery and artwork. A bouncy castle and slide, tombola and music from Gifford provided entertainment and there was a display by Fens Falconry’s birds of prey.
The Halloween Moon Market built on experience gained with the first We are Wisbech Moon Market last August, as the group strives to revive interest in the town’s historic Market Place. The organisers were delighted to continue with the Halloween theme which begun in The Horsefair Shopping Centre during the afternoon and to coincide their efforts with a pre-teens Halloween disco at the Wisbech Institute.
The disco included a pumpkin design and painting competition, as well as surprise guests in the varied shapes of animals brought along by Fenland Exotics.
