National blood cancer support charity, Leukaemia CARE is calling for men to ‘grow-a-mo’ this Movember and help support those affected by a blood cancer diagnosis.
The Movember campaign encourages men to leave their upper lips unshaven for the duration of November, resulting in an impressing array of facial-fuzz while raising money for a good cause. Originally started to raise awareness for men’s cancers such as prostate and testicular, the concept has now spread to supporters wanting to help those affected by any form of cancer.
Helen Whatmore, Fundraising Manager at Leukaemia CARE, said: “Raising awareness of cancer is vital and as a support charity, we do everything we can to help our members through the difficult journey they maybe going through. Movember is an incredibly popular campaign which engages men young and old to raise awareness of cancer.
“By growing a ‘tache for Leukaemia CARE and getting your friends and family to support you along the way, you’ll be doing your bit to help support those affected by a blood cancer diagnosis.”
