A NEW walk along the Cawdle Fen Way is now available thanks to the work of the County Council’s Rights of Way & Access Team.
The walk opens up the big Fenland skies and includes a beautiful six mile riverside stretch alongside the Great Ouse continuing through the landscape past the abandoned medieval settlement at Braham Farm and then uses Fenland droves to return to Ely.
The walk has been developed by the Rights of Way & Access Team using EU funding provided to open up public rights of way in Fenland to encourage local people to enjoy their unique landscape and to attract more visitors to the area.
A leaflet has been produced to promote the new route which is available on-line or from outlets including the Ely Tourist Information Centre, outdoor shops and various other outlets in the city.
