THE British Heart Foundation’s decorated window was judged the winner on Wednesday of the Best Dressed Window Competition held in conjunction with Wisbech Chamber of Commerce.
The Mayor Cllr Viv MacRae presented the Chamnber of Commerce shield to the Market Place shop manager Janet Kenworthy and assistant manager Sue Small, who were both responsible for the Olympic-themed display.
Janet had used her old mountain bike as part of the display and Sue had stuffed tights to make display models.
Mrs MacRae said it was very creative and imaginative.
Judges were the Mayor and her consort Gary MacRae, Barbara Oliver, secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and town beadle Alister Hopkins.
The judges also singled out for their efforts The Norfolk Hospice shop in Union Street and Age Uk in the Market Place.
Mrs MacRae praised all the entries for their efforts in brightening up the town during Rose Fair.
The judges also spotted an Olympic display at the Trinity Methodist Church in Church Terrace which wasn’t part of the competition but caught their eyes as being impressive.
