TWO good local causes have benefited from money raised by a March charity shop.

Open Chest, on Broad Street, does not support just one cause and regularly donates money to causes in the Fenland area.

The latest two to benefit were Westwood Junior School, in March, and animal charity Wisbech Cat Welfare.

They received their cheques from store manager Kathy Dudley.

Westwood School will be putting the £750 received from Open Chest towards a sensory room in the school.

Cat Welfare received £350, which will help the charity take care of unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens in the Wisbech area.

June Scotting and Lindsay Kierman, from Cat Welfare, thanked Open Chest for the donation.

Open Chest raises the money through the shop and always welcomes donations of stock. They can be taken into the shop or call 01354-654403 to arrange collection.
