Blood cancer support charity, Leukaemia CARE is calling for cyclists of all abilities to join Team LC in the Prudential RideLondon 2014 to help support those affected by a blood cancer diagnosis.

The Prudential RideLondon cycling event will take place on Sunday 10th August 2014 and is a lasting legacy of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As part of this 100-mile bike ride, cyclists will take in a while range of sites around London as they enjoy a route along a modified version of the Olympic Road Race.

More than 65,000 cyclists took part in the 2013 event, and 2014 is set to be even bigger. Although the ballot for RideLondon places has now closed, Leukaemia CARE has a number of guaranteed charity places available. To sign up to the event there is a £50 registration fee and a minimum sponsorship of £750.

Helen Whatmore, Fundraising Manager at Leukaemia CARE, said: “We’re looking for keen cyclists to take part in this monumental cycling event, which will let you experience the famous sights and sounds of the nation’s capital. Cycle for Team LC and you can help someone whose life has been affected by a blood cancer diagnosis.”
