THE hunt for the Fenland Photographer of the Year has been narrowed down with just 30 photographs being selected for the six shortlisted categories.
With around 300 entries it was a tough choice for the judges. All 30 images will go on display in a two-month long exhibition organised by Atelier East. The winner will be announced on December 2 at a special exhibition opening and awards ceremony.
The photographers in with a chance of being named Fenland Photographer of the Year are: Nathan Smith, Tim Daniels, Julie Shortland, David Hodgson, David Kelley, Chris Brudenell, Mark Ashworth, Ian Stacey, Reg Kemp, Roger Newark, Sarah Nice, Robin Stevenson, Barry Clark, Barry Coates.
“We want to promote Fenland in a positive way and want the people who are proud to live here to share their images of the local area.
“It’s great to think that people are coming together, not just in the hope of winning an award, but also to show that Fenland is a great area to visit,” said Karen Harvey, Artistic Director of Atelier East.
Selected images from across all of the categories will be given pride of place in Fenland District Council’s new ‘Welcome to the Cambridgeshire Fens, Visitors and Accommodation Guide’.
Atelier East will be sending out invitations for the Awards Ceremony and if you would like to attend, email: email@example.com
