Pillow fights and den building are some of the activities on offer at a free play day at a Wisbech park next week.
Wisbech Adventure Playground is hosting the event, which is part of the National Play Day, from 11am to 4pm.
A bouncy castle, den building, a giant slide and pillow fights, as well as food, refreshments and ice cream will be available throughout the day.
An appeal has been launched to find volunteers to help with the management of the playground.
The playground is currently run by Cambridgeshire County Council – an arrangement likely to continue for the foreseeable future.
However, the playground’s managers are looking to expand and develop the roles played by the Friends of the Wisbech Adventure Playground, so the group can take on more responsibility for areas such as fundraising, community engagement and management of events at the playground.
The county council would work alongside the Friends, with a view to possibly letting them take on the governance of the playground at some point in the future.
Volunteering can be useful in helping people gain skills needed to gain employment, build confidence and develop experience professionally and personally.
