Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist suffered serious injuries in an accident at Wisbech yesterday (Tuesday).

The man, in his 20s, was cycling along West Street when he was involved in a collision with a Chrysler Sebring at the junction with Cannon Street at 11.27am. He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment.

The road was closed until 2.45pm.

PC Jay Porter, investigating, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or either the car or cyclist prior to it.”
