POLICE are warning drivers not to travel the wrong way along Wisbech streets which became one-way in January.
Officers will be taking a harder line on drivers travelling the wrong way along Park Avenue, Henry Street and St Augustine’s Road.
Inspector Robin Sissons said: “These roads have been two-way for many years and people have been assuming it still is.
“So far, we have been informing drivers and not issuing tickets but we will now be starting enforcement work and issuing fines if appropriate.”
Road signs have been installed but some drivers are still assuming the streets are two-way.
