COUNCILLOR Martin Curtis will take up the post of Cambs County Council’s Cabinet member for Adult Services after councillor Catherine Hutton stepped down from the post following increased work commitments, it has been announced.
Cambridgeshire County Councillor Martin Curtis was Cabinet Member for Health and Well Being and previously Cabinet Member for Young People and presided over the transformation of Children and Young People Services.
He said: “Caring for and supporting the most vulnerable members of our community is a tough challenge. In light of new Government guidance on health and the increasing demand for our services, transforming Adult Social Care is one of our top priorities. With finances stretched we need to improve the way we do business and I can’t wait to carry on the great work Catherine has kicked off.”
Mr Curtis is from Whittlesey and is also a member of Fenland District Council.
