THE Swan Inn at Parson Drove has given a bumper boost of £1,062 to help local cancer patients.
Pub landlady Angie Willis presented the cheque to Wisbech and District Cancer Support group’s Anita Barker (chairman) and Jean Stone.
Angie explained this was the pub’s chosen charity and £700 of the total was raised from a harvest auction in October at the pub, resident Norman Boor asked for donations instead of gifts for his 80th birthday as his wife sadly died from cancer and this raised £210.
The pub topped the money up and then held a raffle which raised £112 to bring the total of £1,062.
Angie and partner Mark Clifton, who runs the pub with her, want to thank everyone for their support.
