A team from Cavalry Primary School in March have raised around £800 for Cancer Research by taking part in Race for Life.
A total of 10 people went to Stamford’s Burghley House for the annual race, which sees millions of pounds raised in the country’s largest women-only race.
Karen Hicks from Cavalry said: “We have all been touched by cancer in some shape or form. Some friends and relations are still fighting, others have been lost to cancer.”
She said when someone suggested doing Race for Life, it “snowballed” and they ended up with a sizable team of people, including some Neale-Wade pupils.
