Citizen readers who still haven’t backed a campaign to bring rail services back to Wisbech have until Sunday July 14 to add their names to an online petition.
Since the petition was launched, over 3,500 signatures have been added and 11,000 leaflets have been distributed. Campaigners hope to present the petition to a full Cambs County Council meeting on July 16 at Shire Hall in Cambridge. They are calling for Wisbech to be reconnected to the railway network and especially direct rail services to Cambridge.
