WEST Norfolk South MP Elizabeth Truss officially declared the refurbished Three Holes Village Hall open at a special ceremony on Saturday.
The hall has been closed since April following a theft and arson attack and thousands of pounds have been spent on bringing it back to the required standard.
It now boasts many new facilities including a new kitchen, bar, flooring, ceiling and updated lighting.
A celebration cake was cut and a balloon release signified the re-opening.
Committee secretary Rita Cuss, who celebrated her 80th birthday that week, said it went very well.
The committee were pleased to see people who have used the hall in the past come back to mark the re-opening.
An exhibition of photographs featuring all manner of past events and celebrations at the old hall was held and Rita said this provoked a lot of interest.
“People were very pleased with the new hall and the way it looks,” said Rita, adding the building has a Wi-Fi connection which they hope will also add to the facilities on offer.
An appeal has been launched for help to repay a £15,000 loan needed to bring the damaged hall up to the standard required by insurers and £400 was raised towards this.
The celebrations ended with an evening dance at the hall with entertainment by Rick Hallam.
