A record number of entries competed in the Downham Young Farmers Clay Pigeon shoot.

A total of 214 people took aim at the event, which was held on the Stradsett Estate on Sunday.

Gareth Mound won the 70 bird sporting competiton while Georgia- Napier Tillson took the women’s shoot.

The 30 Bird Flush was won by S Green and S Thompson. The club also held the Norfolk Young Farmers County Competition.

The event raised around £3,800 for Headway.

Club chairman Martyn Cockerill said: “It went really well and everyone was pleased with the layout. Thanks to Fair Clay Targets.”
