Winter fun was the name of the game in Emneth on Sunday – and it was all free thanks to the Playing Field Committee.
The family fun day was organised for the residents of Emneth and people turned up in their hundreds to enjoy the activities put on for them on the playing field.
The star attraction was a mobile ice rink, which proved very popular, as well as live music, a bouncy castle, mega slide, crafts and free refreshments.
Tanya Bunting, from the committee, said: “It was absolutely brilliant – a lot of hard work, but it was worth it. There were masses of people there.”
The day was made possible thanks to a £2,000 Community Spaces grant from the Big Lottery fund, to promote the play area. It was topped up by the Playing Field Committee with money made from the sale of a calendar.
