WISBECH Round Table has put out an urgent SOS to families to help them raise as much cash for good causes as possible this weekend.
Sunday sees the annual ‘sponsored family cycle ride’ and the group is appealing for as many people as possible to get involved.
Last year Wisbech Round Table raised £9,500 for a multitude of local good causes. Many local community projects and individuals have benefited from our support.
The two cycle ride is one of the main money raising events - the other is the highly successful Rose Fair Parade.
But while the Rose Fair Parade is long established as one of the high spots of the “Wisbech Year” the Sponsored Family Cycle Ride, is less well known, but has the potential to raise a significant sum.
It gives families the chance to help raise funds for worthwhile causes while having a healthy fun day and anyone can join in.
Sponsored Family Cycle Ride is this Sunday (May 22), departing from Upwell Health Centre, Townley Close, Upwell, PE14 9BT.
Rides will be: 10 miles Family Ride at noon; 25 miles at 11.30am; 50 miles at 10am and 75 miles at 8.30am. Start times are approximate.
And there is a chance to in a signed shirt for the person who raises the highest amount. The shirt has been signed by Paralympic gold medallist Jody Cundy and other British Olympic Cyclists.
You can enter the ride by raising just £10 sponsorship. Download your sponsorship and entry forms at: www.wisbechroundtable.org/cycle.
