‘Ruff’ weather did not deter proud pet owners from supporting a popular dog show.

Wisbech Retired Greyhound Trust organised the event in Emneth Road, Outwell, and raised £181 for the Pets Blood Bank team.

Around 50 dogs went along to the field on Sunday to compete in classes such as pretty bitch, handsome dog, fancy dress and best junior handler.

The trust also included a black beauty class to reflect the difficulty it has in re-homing black dogs.

Owners were also able to get their dogs microchipped at the event, along with supporting the tombola.

Barbara Townsend, who runs the branch, has thanked owners for supporting the event. She is also putting on a Christmas dog show in Upwell Village Hall on Sunday, December 13, from 11.30am.
