Sainsbury’s in March has raised over £1,800 for Magpas after choosing it as the store’s charity of the year.

The main aim for the store staff was to help raise awareness about the incredible lifesaving organisation amongst the local community, as well as to raise crucial funds.

Gabe Hearnshaw, PR Ambassador from Sainsbury’s March, said: “We picked Magpas because our staff recognise the vital role the medics play, providing essential care to the East of England, night and day.”

Debbie Florence, fundraising manager at Magpas, said: “We are extremely grateful to everyone who supported Magpas and for raising such a fantastic amount too. It was a pleasure to welcome the Sainsbury’s staff to our Helimedix Base for a visit, so they could see the difference their donation will make for our lifesaving team.”
