DRESSED in Santa suits to promote the first ever East Anglia Children’s Hospices Santa Run are John Tufts, Karen Newton, Beccy Turner, Robert Skoulding and Barbara Ellerbeck

EACH is hosting the run in March on Sunday November 25 and budding fundraising Santas are needed. The Run starts at 11am at the Oliver Cromwell Hotel which is also the finishing point. The route is about 2km and is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. It’s not a race, so you don’t have to be an expert runner. You can walk, jog or run- it’s up to you!

Beccy Turner, EACH fundraiser, said: “We’re really excited about this new event in March - so why not sign-up, get sponsored, take part, and raise funds for EACH at the same time. Even if you’re a spectator you can have fun cheering on the Santas.

“We need to raise £5.75 million in public donations to deliver our services this year. This amounts to £15,000 a day, every day of the year, which is why fundraising events such as the March Santa Run are so vital to the continuing work of EACH.”

Adult entry is £10 and includes a Santa suit or £8 without a suit, while entry for those aged 13 and under is £5 and includes a Santa hat. Participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship. Registration opens October 1 but to register your interest call 01223 205180 or email fundraisingcambs@each.org.uk

The event is supported by the Oliver Cromwell Hotel and will be the highlight of their Christmas Fayre weekend.
