THE search is on for this year’s Wisbech Rose Fair Carnival Queen.

The Citizen is looking for entries for the Queen who will head the summer parade around the town on Saturday July 2.

We’re helping Wisbech Round Table to find a Queen who will scoop a great prize package - which includes a £150 cheque from the Round Table. Full details of the prize package are to follow.

We are looking for someone to take on the crown of last year’s Rose Fair Queen Jasmine Vickers.

As well as the prizes, the Queen receives a trophy, sash and bouquet. Entry is open to girls aged 14 and over living in Wisbech and district.

To enter, all you have to do is send us a recent photograph with a few biographical details - remember to include your name, age, address, hobbies and a day-time telephone number as we need to check all entries.

Your address and phone number will not be published. Please write your name on the back of your photograph.

The Round Table will select a shortlist from the photographic entries submitted and the chosen finalists will be interviewed by a panel of judges on June 8 at 6pm at Cafe Studio, Etcetera shop in Wisbech.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on May 25 so don’t delay.

Names of all the entrants as they are received will appear in the Citizen and some photographs. It may not be possible to publish pictures of every entry.

Entries can also be emailed with all the above details included as well to: emma.mason@fenlandcitizen.co.uk Pictures must be of a good quality and submitted as a jpg.
