An art exhibition showcasing the work of Christian artist Margaret Wright is now on display at Octavia View, Wisbech.
The exhibition can be viewed between 9am and 5pm and will be on display from 5 July to 2 August, 2013.
Margaret is self-taught and enjoys experimenting with a variety of media and techniques. She also produces a range of greeting cards, some of which incorporate miniatures in watercolour, encaustic or oils. These can be seen for sale in the Octavia shop.
Margaret’s Christian beliefs have led her to help run workshops and taken her on a mission trip where she used her skills to decorate a jeep for use in the play area at an orphanage in Swaziland for aids victims. She also supports local charities such as Octavia and Realitas.
Her artwork is always developing and evolving and she gets almost as much pleasure from encouraging others to “have a go” as she does from doing her own work.
Octavia View can be accessed through the Octavia’s Shop on South Brink or from Somers Road car park. Those who visit between Wednesday and Saturday from 10am until 4pm can take advantage of Octavia’s Café and grab a homemade cake and tea.
