Skaters roller rink in Walpole Highway held the British Inline Speed Skating Championships at the weekend.
Eve McInerney came through the field to take the 300m win. Current British champion James Ashby fell foul during the 500m time trials, but won a hard fought 1500m. Ellie Sooley-Drew won all her races, including easy wins in the 300m and 800m as well as the TTs, before joining forces with Eve to win the 2,000m relay and set a new British record. Ashby and Mike McInerney were disqualified in the final relay due to a technicality.
