There was both celebration and sadness at the final assembly of the school year at Anthony Curton.
Thirteen pupils from across the Walpole St Andrew Primary School were awarded certificates and book tokens for 100 per cent attendance throughout the year.
It was also time to say goodbye to long-standing teacher Sarah Durrant, who is leaving the school after 16 years.
Mrs Durrant, who is Year teacher, KS1 co-ordinator and deputy headteacher, left to become head at Marshland St James Primary School.
She said: “It’s been an emotional time but I’m ready for a change. I am leaving a wonderful set of staff.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge and opportunity working at Marshland St James will bring. I am hoping to build strong links between the two schools.”
