A snail race night held at Leverington Sports and Social Club raised £600 for the Macmillan and Hudson Palliative Care Unit in Wisbech.

A total of £460 was raised on the night.

The football children asked for £125 from the jar on the bar to also go to the cause and a member of the public added in £15 to round up the total.

Sharon Belton thanked everyone who supported the cause and the club committee members for giving up their Saturday night to run the tote. Special thanks went to Tracey and Suzette.
