Photographers in Fenland are being challenged to capture the character of the Ouse Washes in a new contest.

The Ouse Washes Partnership has launched the 2016 Snap the Ouse Photography competition in the run-up to this summer’s OuseFest celebrations.

Sara Marshall, countryside engagement and marketing officer, said: “Last year’s competition was hugely successful and we hope this year’s contest will provide more fun opportunities for people to see their local environment through different eyes, discover new aspects not seen before and capture what their local area means to them.”

The contest is divided into three categories: 12 and under, 13-18 and 19 or over. Winners will each receive a basket of prizes worth £50. The shortlist of photographs will also be displayed.

To participate, send your photographs taken in the Ouse Washes or surrounding area to sara.marshall@cambsacre.org.uk by Sunday, May 29.
