MARCH Town Bowls Club held a “Memories from the Past” evening on Saturday turning the clock back almost 30 years.
Past and present members and friends of the club were invited to come along and memorabilia included newspaper cuttings and photographs.
In November 2010, the clubhouse was burned to the ground and now, with the new pavilion up and running, the club decided to hold the special evening looking back over its history.
There was a DVD showing the building of the old pavilion and also the new pavilion being built and officially opened last year.
People also enjoyed a slide show of events relating to the club for almost 30 years.
This Friday the club is holding a quiz night with a two-course meal. Anyone interested in entering a team of up to six should contact club president Alan Cross of 01354-652141. Entrance is £8 per person which includes the meal and the evening starts at 6.45pm.
