THE dog stolen from outside Barclays Bank in March last month has been reunited with his owner after being found by RSPCA inspectors on a travellers’ site near Basildon in Essex.
Taz’s owner, Tracy Burton, featured in the Citizen appealing for the return of the microchipped whippet cross.
“I am really happy to have him back, and I want to say thank you to the RSPCA,” Tracy said.
“Acting on information we went to the travellers’ site at Hovefields, Wickford near Basildon,” said RSPCA inspector Susan Hammond. “When we arrived, there were several dogs running around and we scanned them, and Taz came up as stolen.
“We are really happy to hear that he has been reunited with his owner.”
