Shoppers in March were confronted by a giant seven-feet tall pigeon on Monday.
The pigeon had flown the coop from the Skylark Maize Maze and Funyard in Wimblington and was in Broad Street to promote the launch of a new ride at Skylark. Edward Gowler from Skylark said: “We are opening a new Pesky Pigeons tractor trailer ride this year. As families board the trailer the children will be issued with a supersoaker water cannon. We have positioned a number of pigeon targets around the farm which the children have to try to hit with the water guns. But some of the pigeons will fire back, meaning you could well get wet on the ride!”
The Maize Maze and Funyard and the new Pesky Pigeons ride is open from Saturday July 20 to Sunday September 8, then weekends to the end of September. See: www.skylarkmaizemaze.co.uk.
