Successes at King’s Lynn hospital

Chief executive of Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital Dorothy Hosein outlines some of the successes seen at the hospital in the last year.

Mrs Hosein spoke after the hospital’s annual meeting on Thursday last week.

She said the A&E department had achieved the targets for its four hour waiting times and had seen its clostridium difficile cases drop to just six.

Mrs Hosein also said there has been audit on the skills mixture at the hospital along with improvements to the wards.

She said: “I think we have a bright future ahead and I’m looking forward to this year.

“You have to embrace change and I think we are at the forefront of doing that.

“I think the morale at the hospital is good and when people see change being delivered they get excited at that.

“I would like to say thank you to the community and please continue to support us. We will continue to do our utmost to become that excellent organisation.”
