Manea is all switched on for Christmas after festive events in the village on Sunday.
The Gala Committee celebrated the ‘switch on’ of the first official Christmas lights in the village which have been placed around The Green.
Committee chairman Kevin Keil explained: “We hold our annual Manea Gala in July each year to raise funds to help worthy causes within the village. The committee decided to put something back into the village that people could see and this seemed a lovely idea to celebrate each year.”
Coupled with this was the popular Christmas Fair held from 2pm to 5pm in the village hall, followed by the big switch on with Santa Claus on the village green.
Villagers and guests enjoyed minced pies, mulled wine and got into the spirit of Christmas with carol singing.
