What do you think of your local market and what could be done to boost trade there? Give us your views and you could win £25 to spend there.
As part of its “Love Your Local Market” campaign, Fenland District Council is carrying out face-to-face customer surveys in March, Chatteris and Whittlesey over the next couple of weeks.
Survey forms can also be completed online at www.research.net/s/fenlandmarkets. Hard copies will be available at Fenland @ your service shops, the Chatteris Community Hub and Fenland Hall.
All those completing the survey will be entered into a prize draw, with the winner in each town winning £25 worth of market shopping vouchers.
The draws will be held in the three towns’ markets during the week ending September 28.
Councillor Pop Jolley, FDC’s portfolio holder responsible for markets, said: “Please take this opportunity to tell us what you think about our markets and how we can best help them prosper.
“They face increasing competition but they remain very important for the local economy. As well as providing a valuable outlet for fresh seasonal produce and other goods and services, the footfall they generate benefits other local shops and businesses, too.”
Meanwhile, the promotional campaign is continuing with its regular series of free children’s activities. The next sessions are in Chatteris this Friday (August 23) and on August 30 and in March on August 28 and September 28.
