A WISBECH care home joined in a national day of fundraising on Monday to raise money for Dementia UK.
Staff, residents and guests at Glennfield Care Centre, on Money Bank, took part in ‘Time for a Cuppa’.
Activities co-ordinator Amanda Scott said they see a lot of dementia and have a young onset dementia unit at the home.
“Dementia is on the increase and it’s frightening when you see someone younger than you come in with it,” she said.
The home has a regular coffee morning to raise money for the residents’ comfort fund, on the last Friday of the month at 11am. Volunteers are always welcomed as well.
