OVER 40 Uniform Service students from the College of West Anglia completed a gruelling 163-mile relay run for a local care home.
The students took to the treadmill at Wisbech’s Hudson Leisure Centre to raise money for the Belmont Road care home at March.
The residential care home supports adults with learning and physical disabilities. Students started the relay at 9am with each student running as far as possible in 30 minutes.
Donna Hewitt, senior support worker at the care home said: “The students approached us a few weeks ago together with their lecturer Adrian Kent and asked if they could offer any support.”
The money raised is for specialist garden furniture.
