St Clement’s Church in Outwell was filled with beautiful flowers over the weekend for the popular annual flower festival.

The festival, which ran from Friday to Sunday, had a theme of ‘It’s a Material World’ and as ever there were some creative ideas for displays.

A photographic display by William Smith was on exhibit all weekend and there were also guided tours of the church given by the Friend’s of St Clement’s.

Churchwarden Janet Edgson said while they were not as busy as usual, it was still a good weekend. The money raised at the festival goes to the church but it is not yet known how much was raised.

St Clement’s Church was also the end location of the BBC Radio Norfolk’s Treasure Quest. The feature sees questers following clues to take them across Norfolk from Norwich. And St Clement’s was the location of the treasure for last Sunday’s explorers Kirsteen Thorne and Keith Greentree. They also went to East Raynham, Gayton, King’s Lynn and Terrington St John.
